Gayle Benjamin, Music Director
     February 2009 – present

As a girl, I always loved the Lord, singing, and music. Throughout the years, I have sung solos and been in choirs.

At Flagstaff High School in Flagstaff, AZ, I was in choir and musicals and was accepted into the All-State Choir. As a senior there, I auditioned for and was given a Vocal Music Scholarship with private voice lessons at Northern Arizona University (NAU). I was in the Shrine of Ages Choir under the direction of Mel Kinney and Marvin Hulls with a double major in vocal music and elementary education.

I graduated with a B.S. degree and later received a M.A.

degree from NAU.

I directed the choir at the Page Community United Methodist Church in Page, AZ from 1978 to 2007. February 2009, I began directing the choir at the Mt. View United Methodist Church in Cottonwood, AZ. I have also sung solos and worked with Praise Teams and been a music director at several Walks to Emmaus in Arizona. Music Ministry is a calling for me that I love and can serve God.
